It's still January, at least for a few hours, so I feel like we can sneak this in just in the nick of time. So, 2022 was a year of ups and downs and a few sideways thrown in for good measure. It definitely kept us on our toes. One of the highlights was that we welcomed Hannah to the team in March and she has been the missing puzzle piece on the design side we didn't know we needed. I think she has yet to say, "no" to anything we ask of her and so, of course we love her. She has the memory of an elephant and HIGHLY valuable at client meetings when Shauna can barely remember where the car is parked. (She has other gifts). We also recruited a "run-to-storage, hang-this-art, demo-this-bathroom, install-this-pendant man" named Rich who has chosen to remain a man of mystery with regards to showing his face on the website. Hopefully you will get to meet him at some point. He is also the King of GIFs. A man of many talents who we also have realized we were incomplete without. On the project side, our usual MO is to share with you the top Insta posts for the year in our annual recap. This year was a bit difficult in that our Instagram account @shaunaglenn was hacked in October and we lost over 100k of you wonderful followers. So, if you are just finding us again, we missed you and now you can catch up. Our new account @shaunaglenndesign is where the action is so click that link and get back on board! In June we moved in to our new offices on the west side of Fort Worth after working at Shauna's dining room table for the last year. The star of the space is a vintage curved sofa Shauna recovered in a gorgeous linen print. Everything else comes and goes based on client projects, but there's always fabulous furniture, decorative accessories, art, etc for sale so please come by and visit and shop! Showroom hours are Thursdays 10-3. Speaking of fabulous furniture, Shauna found this mid-century chaise in Round Top last spring and had it recovered and restored to this glorious beauty. It may or may not be used for naptime on rainy afternoons. Wait till you see what it used to look like. This award-winning dining room was a super fun project. We love it when clients bring their sense of humor to the design. Nothing should be THAT serious. Read more about the project here. Bathroom renos are always popular content. It usually all starts with wallpaper and then evolves from there, but read here for all the deets on this green goddess. Travel is a huge inspiration for Shauna, and the photos from her trip to Italy in September will inspire everyone to bring a little Italian color and style to the home. The last two photos y'all loved are the perfect example of incorporating fun and whimsy in to design. The GIANT orange peacock sits proudly in front of Shauna's house with a full bloom hibiscus tail in the height of summer. And the cute yellow loveseat is part of a home office for an artist client. She loves to travel and these and these floating shelves are full of her travel treasures, art projects, and quirky vintage finds. It's pure magic when you go the opposite way of what everyone else does. We want to thank all of you for joining us on this amazing ride. We wouldn't be here without you and we love every time you reach out to comment, love, and share. Here's to an amazing 2023!
XO Shauna, Riley, Kalen, Hannah and Rich
