I think we have a serious problem. All of us here at SGD. We're obsessed with wallpaper. It started out small, a bathroom here, a laundry room there. Most clients are game for adding wallpaper to a small space like a powder bath and we are uber giddy when a client says, "sure! I trust you!". It's seriously like Christmas. I think we are turning a corner though to incorporating wallpaper on a broader scale. There's just so much good stuff out there!! Please, just give us your foyer, your powder bath, your dining room. Our wallpaper sample bin is overflowing and don't you want your room to be Instagram famous? Sorry. Clearly we need help. BUT, if you DO have a room in need of a mini face-lift, check out some of our favorite projects incorporating wallpaper. True story, we posted an image of this bathroom on our Instagram feed recently and someone commented, "I saw this on another blogger's post?" I guess you know you've gone viral when someone thinks you stole your own photo! Wallpaper: Angelina Coral by Tilton Fenwick. Available at Hygge & West. We love this wallpaper so much, we used the blue version here. Can you believe the transformation? Seriously, so good! Let's face it, few people love doing laundry. Kalen does, but she's weird anyway. Imagine the buzz of the dryer and the joy you will feel when you walk in to your bright, happy laundry room and retrieve a dryer full of warm towels. It's the little things, y'all. Wallpaper: Anthropologie Abstract from Anthropologie Beyond bathrooms, your foyer is a great place to incorporate wallpaper. We love this trellis design from Thibaut and with this orange/pink color combo, if people don't walk in to your house with a smile on their face then I don't know what's wrong with them! Wallpaper: Downing Gate by Thibaut OK, so maybe wallpapering a whole room might be too much for you. Consider an accent wall. We painted the wainscoting in this dining room a bright blue and contrasted with this terracotta chevron pattern wallpaper. Wallpaper: Terracotta Feather from Serena & Lily The wall behind the bed is also a great place for a wallpaper accent wall. If you change your bedding seasonally, just make sure the wallpaper color will work with both sets. Or not, clearly we will mix anything with anything! Wallpaper: Dashing by Anthropologie Now. Here's a peek in to our basket of goodies just waiting for the right project. 1. Schumacher Citrus Garden
2. Schumacher Magical Ming Dragon 3. Thibaut Sunburst 4. Voutsa Ballet Russes Mini Also check out our wallpaper shop here for more favorites. Are you ready? We are!

It's probably no surprise that we love bathroom makeovers. Powder rooms especially are the perfect space to exercise your creativity. The enclosed space means it doesn't have to "flow" with the rest of the house so your options for color and style are wide open. And while you might want to exercise a bit of restraint when it comes to full baths (but really, why?), it should be a space that makes you happy and excited to get up in the morning! We love wallpaper in bathrooms because there are so many amazing patterns that well, just make us happy. Our top 5 bathroom makeovers range from a sleek spa inspired space to whimsical and colorful. In this bathroom refresh we painted the cabinets and updated the space with new artwork, light fixtures and this amazing mirror from Pottery Barn! Paint: Tricorn Black by Sherwin-Williams Mirror: Pottery Barn Rug: Serena & Lily Bathmat and artwork: Anthropologie Light fixtures: Rejuvenation Even though there is a lot of pattern going on in this spa-inspired bathroom, it works because everything is neutral. The tub and shower are both behind a glass wall to create a wet area. The brass accents are my favorite! Wall tile: Kelly Wearstler for Ann Sacks Bathtub: Wayfair Wood table: Homegoods Vanity wallpaper: Schumacher Cabinet paint: Broadway by Sherwin-Williams Mirrors: Houzz Vanity chair: Homegoods Light fixtures: Candelabra So, speaking of bold wallpaper, this whimsical print makes an all white bath just pop. Add some cool mirrors and faux fur accents and maybe a wine fridge and why would you ever leave? Wallpaper: Hygge & West Bathtub: Kohler Mirrors and vanity stool: CB2 Light fixture: West Elm Our last two powder rooms show you how much fun you can have with wallpaper. We loved the pattern so much, we used it in two different colorways! Keeping cabinets and counter tops fairly simple makes it easy to change things up if when you find your next favorite wallpaper.
