Kitchen Reno: Sam & Wade

Look. At. This. Kitchen. It's crazy that five weeks ago this room looked nothing like it does now. The transformation is so amazing I can't stand it. The only thing that would make this kitchen better was if it was mine.
Look where we started. It wasn't a bad kitchen. It just needed an update. My sweet client Samantha told me that the thing she disliked most about it was that it always felt dirty even when it was clean. That told me that it needed to be lighter and brighter.
The plan was to take out the island altogether and put in a new one. Sam wanted a farmhouse sink so we needed an island to accommodate that. We also agreed to get rid of the curve in front for a more sleek, modern look. The cabinets were in good condition so we just had new door fronts made in a shaker-style. The rest of the kitchen plan was this: new floors, new lighting, new countertops, new backsplash, new furniture. Basically everything new. Scroll down to see the before and after photos. Enjoy!
